Food Safety

Our customers expect and deserve produce that is safe and wholesome. That is why we have rigorous food safety and tracking procedures in place.

We adhere to and exceed guidelines set by our individual shippers, as well as the Arizona Leafy Greens Marketing Agreement (AZLGMA), the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and USDA-National Organic Program. We are certified organic by Agricultural Services Certified Organic (ASCO).

Key components of our food safety procedures include:

  • Responsible land use.

  • Responsible pesticide use and record keeping.

  • Water source testing.

  • Submit to regular announced and unannounced government audits.

  • Effective recall system.

  • Field security.

  • Good worker hygiene.

  • Sanitary hygiene facilities.

  • Regular food safety training for all employees.
